Ryhope Steam Pumping Station Spring show

Sunday 8thApril 2011, (Easter Sunday) there is a FREE, outside, craft fair at the Ryhope engine museum, Sunderland, SR2 0ND, opposite the Ryhope hospitals. 20 + stalls are expected, all goods are quality handmade crafts, organic foods, collectibles or children’s activity based items. Stalls expected include handmade cards, jewellery, knitted goods,  unusual macramé personalised/ football team pens, local interest photos chocolate and old fashioned sweets and toffees,  pottery, needlework goods e vintage items, cards, gemstone jewellery, an artist, retro vintage including cake stands, kids cardis, crosstitch,  Geordieland stories on CDs, and  a wood turner, wood burning pyrography, a potter and a blacksmith will be demonstrating all day. The craft fair is open from 11.00 to 4.00 and Ryhope engines will be in steam at the same time. Entrance is FREE. The craft fairs have been running along side the Ryhope museum now for 5 years and are proving a popular attraction, making a day on the site even more interesting. A tearoom and toilet facilities are also on site. Access is as disabled friendly as it can be made, volunteers will help if needed and stallholders will be happy to bring a selection of their wares to the roadside to anyone who can’t negotiate the sloped grass area the stalls are on.
October’s Craft fair and steaming day also includes a popular Car rally and is on 28thOctober, on the day the clocks go back.
